The Weed Fleet are well known throughout the Waterways System, not only for the standard and unique design of the Concoform Marine built boats but also the names themselves.

The names started with the first boat being "Duckweed" then "Chickweed" a clinker built dinghy, tender to Duckweed. These being the family boadts in the 50's and 60's Norman and Jenny then after a period of hiring on the River Thames moved to Weedon and the names really had to continue.

The Weed Fleet managed to get a superb amound of support not only from people with a passion for the Waterways but journalists too, here are just a few of our published moments:
